At age three, Rita was discovered by a model scout at a Dallas, Texas, Starbucks. Rita became a successful child model for three years until JCPenney photographers encouraged her to pursue acting. At age six, Rita moved to Los Angeles, California, and booked her first audition as a guest-star on Nickelodeon's "Sam & Cat" starring Ariana Grande. Inspired by Ariana to pursue music, Rita began intensive piano, guitar and vocal lessons. At age seven, she moved to Las Vegas, Nevada, where she became a successful street performer for two years. At age nine, Rita returned to Los Angeles to pursue careers in both acting and music. At age 10, Rita co-wrote her first song, "For My Girls," a teen pop song about girl camaraderie. After donating the use of her song and all proceeds to CARE.org for their International Women's Day campaign, Rita performed her song on GMA's Strahan and Sara in March 2019 when she was 11. Rita is proud to be the youngest ambassador for CARE which gives her the opportunity to give back and fulfill her passion of helping underprivileged people around the world like her extended family in Brazil. Today, at age 14, Rita's music genre has evolved into Alternative/Indie Rock. She is expected to release more original music in 2022, and occasionally performs live across the USA and abroad. Rita's music projects haven't dampened her enthusiasm for acting. Her credits now include multiple TV guest star roles and commercials, and two prior TV series-regular roles. She's also developed a love for writing and is writing several screenplays and a fantasy fiction novel. Rita is home-schooled to accommodate her busy schedule. Now in 10th grade, her favorite subjects are STEM, writing, and history. Rita cherishes the time she spends with her family and friends.
