Suleka is entering her second season on TNT's hit show Claws (2017), as Detective Arlene Branch. She most recently wrapped the romantic drama feature, Midnight Sun (2018), released by Open Road Films in March, 2018. Six months after she enrolled, an agent signed her on and six months after that she got her first paid acting job as a lead in an episode of a Canadian anthology series. One of Suleka's first major roles was that of 'Dr. Sunny Ramen' on the acclaimed and award winning Canadian dramatic series, Da Vinci's Inquest (1998). An international hit, the series eventually made its syndicated debut in the United States. Suleka also had a recurring role on the Emmy Award® winning The West Wing (1999) as well as Stephen King's The Dead Zone (2002) and co-starred in Hallmark Entertainment's science fiction miniseries Final Days of Planet Earth (2006). Other feature film credits include a starring role in the Sundance Festival hit, Touch of Pink (2004), directed by Ian Iqbal Rashid. She appeared in the independent film, The Score (2005), which was screened at the 2005 Vancouver International Film Festival and worked with esteemed director Deepa Mehta in her romantic comedy, The Republic of Love (2003). Performances for CBC Radio include readings of Bharati Mukherji's "The Management of Grief", Anne Giardini's novel "The Sad Truth About Happiness" and Rohinton Mistry's "A Fine Balance." Suleka was also part of the multi-discipline cast of "Shadow Pleasures" created by Veronica Tennant, inspired by the work of Michael Ondaatje. - IMDb Mini Biography By: John Crosby Management
