A child musical prodigy, Rubolino, blessed with perfect pitch as discovered by doctors at USC at age three, performed his first piano recital a year later in front of over 1000 people. Through the years, driven to carve out a career in music, he woodshedded and diligently worked at his craft, developing his burgeoning composing, arranging and performing skills, mastering piano and guitar. In his late teens, under the tutelage of his mentor, noted film composer/arranger/orchestrator, the late Michael Kamen, Rubolino was treated to a musical education like no other. His accomplishments under Kamen's guidance included work on the feature films, Lethal Weapon 4, X-Men (where he contributed guitar work alongside Metallica's Kirk Hammet), Open Range, First Daughter and Back to Gaya. At 18, he caught his first big break where under the guidance of Michael Kamen, Rubolino worked on the Lethal Weapon 4 soundtrack album alongside acclaimed music luminaries like Eric Clapton, jazz bass icon, Marcus Miller and saxophone legend David Sanborn. Two years later, taken under the wing of arranging legend Jimmie Haskell, Rubolino furthered enhanced his arranging skills. His prodigious talent as a film composer was tapped for the Richard Gere/Diane Lane starring vehicle, 2002's Unfaithful. That same year, Rubolino added to his growing resume by producing Songs of Life, a solo album by Poison frontman Bret Michaels. A multi-dimensional talent, in 2005 he scored a Grammy nod for engineering Motorhead's cover of the Metallica classic, "Whiplash". A year later, he won a platinum award for arrangements of two songs featured on the 30 Seconds to Mars album, A Beautiful Lie.
