Mike Whaley is an American Effie Award winning actor, best known episodically for his role of Malick on Under the Dome (2013) Army Wives (2007) Atlanta (2016) and Homeland (2011). He is also known to be a commercial veteran, filming over 60 national brand spots to date. From 2012-2016, he was named one of the original National Walmart commercial spokesman, where he was awarded the distinguished Effie Award for commercial performance in a campaign series. In the same category of Flo from Progressive Insurance commercials, Whaley edged his way to being one of the most sought after commercial performers, helping make the brand young and hip. During his campaign as Walmart spokesman, he filmed over 400 spots for the big retailer. Today he still works many commercial and production sets, but is recluse from the spotlight by choice.
