Lawrence Gray is a screenwriter with credits in UK and Singapore TV drama. He has been a script consultant on numerous Chinese and Indian film projects and has won the PAWS award for Drama and The Hong Kong Asia Film Finance forums award for best Hong Kong film project. He began directing in 2010, making a series of shorts and in 2012 his feature debut, Lust $ Found. He lived for twenty five years in Hong Kong where he founded and ran the Hong Kong Writers Circle publishing local writers. His own collection of short stories, Odds and Sods and his novel Cop Show Heaven, have been published by Proverse Press after winning arts council grants. His novel Adams Franchise won the Proverse Prize for Literature. In 2015 he moved to Johor Bahru where he is continuing to teach screenwriting and develop more feature films and TV series. In 2016 his second 13 part drama series for Mediacorp was shown on Singapore TV. In 2017 he turned to historical documentaries about Malaysia and has been developing an historical drama series with Enjoy Entertainment, Sydney.
