Rashad Frett is a director, cinematographer, and editor based in New York City. He was born in Hartford, Connecticut and is of Caribbean descent. His BA is in Communications from Central Connecticut State University and is an MFA candidate at New York University graduate film program. Frett is a recipient of the 2018 BAFTA - HBO scholarship, the Martin Scorsese Young Filmmakers scholarship, and a 2019 BET Blackhouse Foundation Fellowship at Sundance. Additionally, Frett is the Winner of the 2018 DGA Student Film Award.
