Brian was a psychology major at the University of California at Santa Cruz. He spent his junior year abroad at Trinity College, Dublin Ireland where he began performing with the Trinity Players Society. After having caught the acting bug in Ireland he returned to UC Santa Cruz and performed in several plays including playing leading roles in Pieces of the Quilt (featuring world premieres from Tony Kushner, Henry David Hwang, Edward Albee and Craig Lucas), directed by Danny Scheie. Brian then went on to act in summer stock theater with the Napa Valley Shakespeare Festival. He moved to New York City in September of 1999, waited tables in the East Village and became a resident actor for MFA student Yelena Gluzman at Columbia University where he trained in Ann Bogart's Viewpoints and Suzuki theater. While in New York, Brian got his first paying independent film job playing the lead in Snowblind, directed by Barry Ellsworth. He returned to California in 2001 to act in the Napa Valley Shakespeare Festival. He then moved to Los Angeles in to study improvisation and sketch comedy at The Groundlings where he was discovered by Peter Falk who gave him a role in Columbo Likes the Nightlife. Brian worked at the Commerce Casino as a Proposition Player for two years where he was paid to play Blackjack all the while continuing to take classes at Second City LA and IO West. In 2003, Brian joined a Guns N' Roses tribute band where he played Duff McKagan for three years. The band had a weekly gig at the Cat Club on the Sunset Strip. After the band broke up in 2006, Brian began doing standup comedy at open mics all over Los Angeles for six years only to eventually return to improvisation again in 2013 where he studied at the Upright Citizens Brigade. - IMDb Mini Biography By: Anonymous
