Tye Nelson, has pursued work both in front of and behind the camera since 2000. Starting his education at the University of Utah in film production, Tye took a break from his film studies to take a deeper exploration into the roots of acting, specifically the Meisner Technique, studying under the tutelage of Larry Silverberg. In 2006, Tye played a supporting role in an award winning Star Wars fan favorite short film,"Pitching Lucas", where he and three other executives had to sell George Lucas on a few quirky ideas for a new "Star Wars" television series. "Pitching Lucas" won, both the "George Lucas Selects Award" as well as the "Audience Choice Award". Tye recently followed up, producing and acting in his own fan produced short films "Legacy of the Force" and "The Distant Echo", both short films paying homage to what Lucasfilm/Disney are now calling "Star Wars Legends". In conjunction with "Legacy of the Force", Tye was the producer of a Behind the Scenes "making of" short called "Journey of a Fan Film" Which also won Best Non-Fiction and Audience Choice awards at the 2015 Star Wars Fan Film awards. In 2018 Tye, stepped away from acting, and finished his film degree at the University of Utah, with an emphasis on screenwriting. - IMDb Mini Biography By: publicist
